Film Technician, Educator, Cinema Scope Host

As partner in Big Productions, Stu offers experience in entertainment consultation, negotiation, marketing and production to the New Mexico Film Industry. With more than twenty years as head of Goswick Productions in Houston, Stu relocated to Santa Fe, New Mexico in 2003 and refocused his career skills towards the burgeoning film business in the state.
     After an intensive Film Technicians Training Program at Santa Fe Community College, specialty workshops and work on films, he earned membership into the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Moving Picture Technicians, Artists and Allied Crafts (New Mexico IATSE Local 480 Film Technicians Union). He sits on the Board of Directors of New Mexico Film Resources and is an active supporting member of New Mexico Women in Film.
     As mentor and friend to the Film Department of SFCC, Stu enjoys involvement with the education, energy and creativity of student filmmakers. In addition to teaching Grip & Equipment Workshops, he works as on-set mentor and key crew member for film projects produced by the college. Co-founder of the Film Club, he now maintains an advisory presence to ensure their ongoing success, encouraging a supportive forum to meet and share film projects.
     Stu hosts Cinema Scope, a weekly radio program on KSFR-FM about the New Mexico Film Industry and is also the voice of many radio commercials and Public Service Announcements.
     His knowledge of film and business, paired with solid management and production skills and good humor are a great asset to every project he undertakes. Stu has a passion for woodworking, set construction and rigging and a reputation as a punster.
